In the final post of this series, we put it all together; at least as far as the proposed developments along the Highway 26 corridor go.
Using the most recent development activity maps I could find on the two town websites (Collingwood and Blue Mountains), and adding the projects we have now heard about, I was able to map the potential growth along this important corridor.
My squiggly gold line is Highway 26 and together, this stretch of Highway 26 represents over 2600 new dwelling units in some stage of development and/or discussion. If each unit represented two people, that a potential growth of 5,000 people living close to a two-lane arterial road on the edge of town. It really makes you think about how things are changing.
