In a continuation on the development series, Panorama North is a proposal for a 929 dwelling unit plan of subdivision on 50 acres on the north side of Mountain Road and the Tenth Line and not far from the Simcoe County Landfill located further down the Tenth Line. The plan would include 122 single detached dwellings, 5 blocks for 588 townhouses, (including back to back and stacked townhouse designs) and 219 apartment units in four buildings. I couldn’t find too much on the Town website or online about this proposal but did find the sketch as found here and I gather there are additional lands in the small piece to the west to be included in the final project.
There could potentially be another 2200 homes in the vicinity as well as additional commercial/industrial development approaching that stretch so road improvements and traffic management will be key issues. Last summer, the Town held public meetings to look at options such as road widenings and roundabouts to accommodate the potential 25,000 cars a day that move drive along that stretch. Other residential developments proposed for that area along Tenth Line include Red Maple (131 single units and 147 multi units), Mair Mills Villages (127 single units, 192 multi units), and Linksview (591 combined units).
