An article in the local paper referred to this new project as a “massive development for Craigleith.” The proposed project sits on about 51 acres along Highway 26 in the Town of Blue Mountains and is the subject of a potential development plan that would see a village style development. The proposal calls for 340 units, shops, restaurants and potentially rental apartments as well. You can see the developer’s presentation notes here.
The plan is coming forward from Royalton Homes who have other developments in the area.
The corridor stretching from the west end of Collingwood through Craigleith in the eastern area of the Blue Mountains is set to see a number of developments with increased densities in the years to come including projects such as Bridgewater, the Georgian Bay Hotel lands and the Craigleith Ridge land lease community. We’ll put them all together on one map in a future post.
